The Samoa Housing Corporation has once again been recognised for its strong commitment to workplace safety, receiving the Top Stewardship Award for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Compliance in the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Category for 2026.

The award, presented by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Labour (MCIL) in collaboration with the National OSH Task Force, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the Samoa National Tripartite Forum, recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in OSH systems, compliance, and workplace safety culture.

The 2026 awards were held in conjunction with World Day for Safety and Health at Work on 28 April 2026 under the theme “Ensuring a healthy psychosocial working environment,” with a strong focus on mental health, stress management, and fostering supportive workplaces.

SHC’s continued recognition reflects its consistent efforts to maintain strong OSH practices and promote both physical and psychosocial safety within the workplace. The Corporation remains committed to strengthening its OSH systems through ongoing improvements in policies, risk management, and staff awareness, ensuring safety and wellbeing remain central to its operations.
