The Samoa Housing Corporation hereby informs the public that the $6 Million Government Housing Grant Facility is now being implemented to support first-time homeowners and large families in accessing safe, secure, and affordable housing. This Grant Facility provides concessional lending assistance and is administered by the Samoa Housing Corporation in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the Government of Samoa.

Eligibility is limited to first-time homeowners or households classified as large families, subject to fully meeting the prescribed lending criteria

The Mortgage Loan is designed for applicants who can offer land or land and house as security for a loan. This product provides access to higher loan amounts and longer repayment terms, making it suitable for housing construction, property purchase, or major improvements.

Borrowers can access a maximum of $250,000, with an interest rate of 5% per annum, and repayable over a term of 24–25 years.

• Loan fees are offered at a 50% discount
• No grace period applies
• Refinancing is not permitted
• Debt-to-Income Ratio: 80/20 (80% of borrower’s net income for total debt commitments; 20% for living expenses)
• Loan Disbursement:
  • 50% upon approval
  • 50% after project inspection confirming proper use of funds
