SHC Participates in First Ministry of Public Enterprises (MPE) Public Enterprises Forum 2026

The Samoa Housing Corporation had the privilege of participating in the first-ever Ministry of Public Enterprises – Public Enterprises Forum, with SHC represented by its Board Members and Chief Executive Officer, alongside the Boards and Heads of other State-Owned Enterprises.

The Two-day engagement forum, facilitated by the Ministry of Public Enterprises, provided a valuable platform for SOE Boards and leadership to come together, share perspectives, strengthen collaboration, and gain a better understanding of the Government’s expectations and priorities for the SOE sector.

Day One featured presentations and discussions led by key Government agencies, including the Ministry of Finance (MOF), Public Service Commission (PSC), and the Ministry of Public Enterprises (MPE). The sessions covered key areas relating to public enterprise governance, financial management, public sector performance, accountability, leadership, and the role of SOEs in supporting Samoa’s national development priorities.

The engagement also provided an opportunity for SOE Boards and leadership to discuss common challenges, share experiences, and explore ways to further strengthen governance, performance, and accountability across the State-Owned Enterprise sector.

The Samoa Housing Corporation values the opportunity to be part of this important initiative and looks forward to continuing the discussions on Day Two, with further presentations and engagement focused on strengthening the effectiveness, accountability, and sustainability of Samoa’s SOEs.

SHC is also pleased to have its Madam Chairperson, Leaupepe Satui Bentin, participate as one of the panelists in the Day Two interview session, where she will share her experiences as Chairperson of the SHC Board, including the Corporation’s progress, key achievements, challenges, and the importance of strong governance and leadership in advancing SHC’s mandate and mission.
